Transportation

Provincetown is located at the very tip of Cape Cod, along the Mid-Cape Highway, Route 6. Depending on how long you'll be staying, there are a variety of ways to get to the area. Below you'll find information pertaining to local airports and other transportation options.

Fly & Drive

For those of you looking to fly into one of the major airports in the area and drive along the Cape, there are two options that both boast an assortment of rental car options outside the terminals. We also suggest using Kayak, or a similar site to compile the best fares on flights and rental cars.

Fly & Ferry

Want a more nautical experience to get into the swing of things before the big day? Fly into Boston and take the Fast Ferry right into the center of Provincetown! When you deboard your flight, it is a quick taxi ride to the harbor where you can board a ferry 3x a day - the trip takes one and a half hours total from Boston Harbor to Provincetown (MacMillian Wharf), and vice versa. This ferry does not take vehicles across - just passengers. We promise, you won't need a car in Provincetown!

Fly & Fly

The ultimate in convenience is flying into Provincetown's municipal airport via Boston-Logan International. Book your flight on any carrier into Boston and change planes to fly Cape Air right into town. If you book with JetBlue they will actually move your bags for you and get you from one plane to the other a little faster than with other carriers.

Drive

Road trip! For anyone looking to drive to the wedding you'll want to plug your hotel/rental property's address into the GPS, get a coffee, and make a great playlist for your wedding weekend roadtrip! When booking your accommadations inquire about parking, as Provincetown is not know for its large driveways. Most hotels partner with the municipal parking lots found around town, and the vast majority of homes have parking for at least one-to-two vehicles (do not assume!)
